Scope and Contents:
The Career Series contains material from Patterson's long professional career in the field of higher education including his tenure as president of both the Tuskegee Institute and the Phelps-Stokes Fund. The series include correspondence, note cards, publicaitons, manuscripts, and a film reel.
Arrangement:
The series is divided into two sub-series: Tuskegee Institute (1931-1981) and Phelps-Stokes Fund (1953-1973). The sub-series are organized chronologically.
