Scope and Contents:
The Hyman Swetzoff papers include biographical materials, calendars, correspondence, personal business records, writings, photographs, and artwork. Biographical materials are found for Hyman Swetzoff and his family including his children's report cards. Correspondents include George S. Abrams, Dr. H. E. Bergna, Mrs. Lillian Burack, Leah Campanella, Elizabeth Chace, Russ Connor, Bob Draper, Gabe Kohn, Howard Schafer, Robert Schoelkopf Jr., Mrs. Don Smith, and Barbara Swetzoff. In addition to letters from family and friends, some correspondence relates to the purchase of Swetzoff's personal art collection. Other letters concern travel arrangements. Business records include estate records and material relating to Scholar Dunce, co-written by Swetzoff. Writings include notes and poetry. Photographs are of Swetzoff, family snapshots, travel, and of others. There are sketches by Hyman Swetzoff and an unsigned sketch. Also found are materials relating to Swetzoff's co-ownership of the American Leaue Professional Soccer Team of Boston and a photograph of an unidentified European team.
