This series contains sales invoices from 1986 to 1988, including sales from the Chicago International Art Expo and Art Basel. Many invoices include handwritten annotations and attached shipping receipts.
Arrangement note:
Sales invoices are arranged by sales invoice number. Researchers should note that additional sales invoices from the 1980s can be found within the sales tax audit files in Series 2: Financial Records. Information regarding sale of artwork can also be found in Series 4: Inventory Records.
Collection Restrictions:
Use of original papers requires and appointment and is limited to the Archives' Washington, D.C. Research Center. Contact Reference Services for more information.
