Scope and Contents:
This diary begins as a notepad for notes, possibly while Mowbray was at West Point, and includes a song and sketches. The diary focuses on a trip to the Azores beginning on July 6, 1876. Included are shipboard sketches as well as vivid descriptions of flying fish, whales, Azores cuisine, and Horta Bay.
