Included in the biographical material series are appointment and address books; education and personal identification certificates and documents; awards, certificates, curriculum vitae, and chronologies; biographical material related to other individuals; and transcripts of interviews with Jacob Lawrence and Gwendolyn Knight.
Education information includes report cards and diplomas, as well as Gwendolyn Knight's high school yearbook. Jacob Lawrence's birth certificate, his honorable discharge paperwork, their marriage certificate, and Gwendolyn Knight's naturalization paperwork are included, as well as birth and marriage certificates, education certificates, and memorial programs for other individuals. Also included is an unidentified guest book from 1974, possibly for a funeral.
