These records, generated by John C. Ewers, Assistant Director, 1959-1964, and Silvio A. Bedini, Assistant Director, 1965-1972, and Deputy Director, 1972-1978, document
the role of these positions within the National Museum of History and Technology (NMHT) administrative hierarchy. A small portion of the records also covers Ewers' position
as NMHT Director from 1964 to 1965. Included in these records are files pertaining to the Conservation Analytical Laboratory, the early planning stages of NMHT's involvement
in the Bicentennial of the American Revolution (BAR) celebration, and a proposed joint program on the BAR between the National Science Foundation (NSF) and NMHT. Also included
