The Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC) was created in 1985. It is a multi-disciplinary organization, including persons within the fields
of anthropology, zoology, botany, geology, paleontology, and others interested in the development and preservation of natural history collections. These records consist mostly
of Paisley S. Cato's files as Editor of SPNHC documenting the publication of Society publications Collection Forum and SPNCH Newsletter. Also included are
smaller amounts of SPNCH promotional material and records concerning the 1993 SPNCH annual meeting in Victoria, British Columbia.
