Descriptive Entry:
This accession consists of records that document exhibitions at the National Museum of American History. The materials primarily consist of audiovisual materials created for use in exhibitions. Exhibitions documented include: The Clockwork Universe: German Clocks and Automata, 1550-1650; Science in American Life; Between a Rock and a Hard Place: A History of American Sweatshops, 1820-Present; and Engines of Change: The American Industrial Revolution, 1790-1860. Some of the materials were created from when the division was known as the Department of the History of Science and Technology. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, videotapes, audiocassettes, audiotape, motion picture film, and images. Some materials are in electronic format.
