This accession consists of the records documenting the activities and management of the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) during the
tenure of founding Director, Lonnie G. Bunch, 2005-2019. Topics covered include the design, development, and administration of the museum, acquisitions, programs, and exhibitions.
Some records date from before the creation of the museum in 2003. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, reports, floor plans, notes, meeting minutes, scripts, outlines,
agendas, object lists, brochures, news clippings, budget reports, illustrations, and other related materials.
