This accession consists of five websites maintained by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service as they existed on June 14, 2012.
The "Museum on Main Street" website helps bring the Smithsonian Institution to small towns across America. The website includes information about traveling exhibitions
as well as educational resources and docent handbooks for each exhibition. The website also includes guides for creating oral histories and exhibitions.
The "Earth from Space" website was created to accompany a traveling exhibition of the same name and includes an online version. The exhibition was organized in conjunction
with the National Air and Space Museum and toured from 2006 through 2012. The website is no longer being updated and includes touring information and educational resources.
The "Corridos sin Fronteras" website was created to accompany a traveling exhibition of the same name and includes an online version. The exhibition toured from 2002 through
2005 and the website is no longer being updated. The website is available in both English and Spanish and includes touring information and educational resources.
The "Key Ingredients: America by Food" website was created to accompany a traveling exhibition of the same name. It includes touring information, educational resources,
and a comment board.
The "Beyond Baseball: The Life of Roberto Clemente" website was created to accompany a traveling exhibition of the same name and includes an online version. The exhibition
was organized in conjunction with the Smithsonian Latino Center and toured from 2007 through 2012. The website is no longer being updated and includes touring information
and educational resources.
