The Marine Science Network website, crawled June 5, 2012, provides information about the Smithsonian Institution's network of coastal laboratories and long-term marine
research sites as well as research projects, funding, and publications. It also serves as a portal for marine science research across the Smithsonian Institution's websites.
The "MarineGEO: Integrated Ecological Observatories for Changing Marine Ecosystems" website, crawled June 14, 2012, documents the Smithsonian Institution Marine Global
Earth Observatories, or MarineGEO, the first global-scale network of ecological observatories dedicated to understanding changes in the structure and function of marine ecosystems.
