Descriptive Entry:
This accession consists of audiovisual records created during the production of "The Art of Organic Forms" and "Ode to the Pinniped." "Art of Organic Forms" is 10 minutes in length and accompanied an exhibit at the National Museum of Natural History comparing organic and artistic forms. The film was completed in 1969. "Ode to the Pinniped" is 6 minutes and 50 seconds in length and was featured in the Life in the Sea Hall. The film is told in the style of Lewis Carroll (narrated by Cyril Ritchard) and explores the life and times of the pinniped family. It was completed in 1974. Materials for both films include original camera negatives, soundtracks, A and B rolls, and prints.
