This accession consists of records created and maintained by Milo Cleveland Beach, Director, 1987-2001, documenting relations between the Sackler Family and the Freer Gallery of Art (FGA) and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery (AMSG) through the Director, acquisitions to the Sackler collection, the Sackler/Smithsonian Institution Agreement, Sackler events, donations and gifts, the Arthur M. Sackler Foundation/Gallery development, and trips. Materials include transmittal forms for gifts and grants, copies of checks, financial transaction lists, correspondence, memoranda, lists of gift and non-gift honorariums, input vouchers, requests for building services, a move plan, statistical summaries of the collection, copies of articles, press releases, photocopies of photographs of objects, copies of agreements concerning the Arthur M. Sackler and Paul Singer collections, floor plans of galleries, lists of works in the collections, clippings of obituaries for Arthur M. Sackler, photocopy of catalogue for the Singer collection, and a copy of Else Sackler's will.
