This collection consists of one technical manual that belonged to Jerome George Langer, Guiberson Radial Diesel Engine Instruction Manual, for Model T-1020 Series 5 engines that were manufactured by the Buda Engine Company. The manual is approximately 120 pages long and is undated.

Biographical / Historical:
Jerome George Langer (1926-1992) was a diesel engine mechanic during World War II. Langer attended diesel mechanic training from November 1943 to May 1944 in Miami, Florida, logging nearly 980 hours of training. After completing the training course, Langer enlisted in the US Navy. After the war, Langer may have worked for the Buda Engine Company, which manufactured Guiberson engines by contract. Also after the war, Langer worked with his father who was the owner and operator of the "Gulf Hotel Corporation" hotel and gas station in Miami Beach, Florida and later opened his own business, Langer's Marine.
