"Notes on the Indians of the Colorado," by Lieutenant Sylvester Mowry, Third Artillery. Fort Yuma, Calif. March 23, 1856. Autograph document signed. 10 pages including note of transmittal on page 8. Gibbs states that his paper is based on data received from Milhau and Mowry; the latter in turn obtained data from Olive Oatman, Apache captive, 1851-55.
