Three 19th/early 20th century prints: 1 umounted albumen print of a rural cave scene of Indonesia by Ohannes Kurkdjian. 22 x 29.2 cm.; 1 umounted albumen print of an urban street scene in Indonesia by Ohannes Kurkdjian. 20.2 x 26.7 cm.; 1 albumen studio portrait of an Indonesian woman by an unknown photographer. 21.8 x 17.6 cm.

Biographical / Historical:
Ohannes Kurkdjian 1851 - 1903 was an Armenian photographer active in Indonesia at the turn of the century. His company, O. Kurkdjian & Co. was a major studio in Surabaya producing scenic views as well as studio portraits. The studio continued well after Kurkdjian's death in 1903.
