Scope and Contents:
Handwritten letter, one folded sheet, dated May 12, 1900. Letter was written by landscape painter Edward Willis Redfield to Mr. Morris (possibly Harrison S. Morris, Director of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts). Redfield describes the highlights of the American sections of the Paris Exposition Universalle of 1900, including paintings loaned from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.

Edward Willis Redfield (1869-1965) was a landscape painter in New Hope, Pennsylvania.
Provenance:
Donated 2016 by art historian Christine I. Oaklander who purchased the letter at auction.
Restrictions:
Use of original papers requires an appointment and is limited to the Archives' Washington, D.C., Research Center.
