Three letters: one to Mrs. May, April 30, 1872; a letter to Miss Helen, November 11, 1870; a letter to Miss Helen McCleese, August 4, 1869 and an envelope addressed to Miss McCleese, all from Henry.
Biographical / Historical:
Painter; Ellenville, New York. E.L. Henry was an American genre artist, specializing in transportation subjects. His career is documented in the book, THE LIFE AND WORK OF EDWARD LAMSON HENRY by Elizabeth McCausland, 1945.
Provenance:
Transferred 1979 by the Museum of History and Technology to the Archives of American Art.
