24 letters from Ira Glackens, 1985-1990, 1 letter from his wife, Nancy Glackens, April 2, 1986, and a note from her enclosed in one of Ira's letters, November 30, 1987. Glackens praises Wasey's animal sculptures, mentions his association with her teacher Heinz Warneke, discusses his writing and his difficulty finding an appropriate publisher for his book, and personal matters.
Biographical / Historical:
Glackens, a writer and son of painter William Glackens, was a friend and patron of Wasey, an animal sculptor, Lincolville, Maine. Glackens died in 1990.
