Biographical / Historical:
E.P. (Edgar Preston) Richardson (1902-1985) was an art historian and museum administrator from Detroit, Michigan. Richardson was Director, Detroit Institute of Arts from 1945-1962 and co-founder with Lawrence Fleischman of the Archives of American Art. Linda Downs (1945-) was curator of education at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
