An interview of Bettina Brendel conducted August 23, 2001, by Paul Karlstrom, for the Archives of American Art, in Brendel's home/studio.
Brendel discusses her family, her education and art, travels and residences, as well as her interest in science and physics. She recalls Erik Hatmann, John Anthony Waites, Lorser Feitelson, Helen Lundeberg, Oskar and Elfriede Fischinger, Jules Engel, Leonard Edmundson, Elaine de Kooning, Richard Feynman, and John McLaughlin.
