A replication of a lighthouse, reduced in size and non-functional. Around the lower portion of the piece is a series of bronze plaques. One depicts a battle scene from the Spanish American War; the second depicts a shipwreck and a lighthouse. The other panels discuss the war and list names of New Britain volunteers. Surrounding the sculpture is a circular pebble-stone courtyard with a brick, stone and metal wall, as well as a bridge which continues the line of the wall.
