Notes:
Charles Lang Freer traveled to Syria in June 1908, mostly to pursue more examples of Raqqa pottery. The source of the prints are unknown.
Summary:
Twelve photographs depicting scenes and buildings in the Syrian city of Aleppo, likely acquired druing Freer's travel there in June of 1908. Nine additional prints depict the Byzantine and early Islamic period ruins at Resafa.
