Photographs collected by Inez Ulery McGuire during her time as a missionary in Burma. They include images of missionaries, Burmese peoples (including the royal family), buildings, monuments, temples, and boats, with one scenic view of Assam. Many of the photographs are commercial cabinet cards with printed Christmas greetings and inscriptions on their versos.
Inez Ulery McGuire, originally from Goshen, Indiana, graduated from Franklin college and went to Burma as a Baptist missionary (circa 1888). While in Burma, she married John McGuire, also from Goshen; they had two children, Judson Ulery McGuire and Alice McGuire.
