Picture postcard depicts a man pouring a cup of hot beverage for a women in Arab dress who sits on one side of the standing tray with cups and containers. Another person sits on the other side of the standing tray sipping his cup. Original caption on recto reads, "Cafetier Ambulant." Translated caption reads, "Coffe house merchant." Postcard image is a black and white photo-gelatin Developing-out Paper print with the beginning signs of deterioration, "silver mirroring," and a white border with a large bottom margin for the title. Original hand-written price on verso reads, "1.50."

The scene appears to be in front of a studio backdrop. Original caption on recto reads, "Restaurant ambulant." Original hand-written text on verso reads, "Ma frès chère Mêmê. Je vous remercie de la charmante carte que vous m'avez envoyez je vous envaie cette carte pour a qui je sais que voue aimez les carte du pays vous voyez chère elbême as hommes qui sont sur cette carte ce sont les vendeurs le bonboneries dans les rues alors Vont les petits garmins archetent de chez j'es pere qu'il fait beau temps chez vous recevez de bans et affectieuse baisers de votre petite amie. Minira." Original translated text reads, "My ," Signed, "Minira." Postcard image is a color Letterpress Halftone print.
