Scope and Contents note:
This scrapbook is filled with news clippings on celebrities, such as Joe Di Maggio, socialites, and various events. The bulk of the clippings appear to be about entertainment and contain jokes, advice columns, and movie advertisements. Only a few articles, largely anecdotal, reference World War II. There is one news clipping with a photo of Howe's wife Francesca.

The scrapbook was dismantled and separated into three folders for preservation purposes.

Scope and Contents:
Scrapbook, 28 pages, unbound, with heavily tooled brown leather cover with gold decoration. Contents include newspaper clippings and photographs (dated 1933-1939) of members of the Challenger Air Pilots Association (CAPA) from Chicago, Illinois, particularly John C. Robinson and his activities with the Imperial Ethiopian Air Force, which earned him the nickname of the "Brown Condor," and Dale L. White and Chauncey Spencer's 1939 "Goodwill Flight" (May 11 to May 16) from Chicago to Washington, DC.

Digital images displayed are the only pages which have been digitized at this time.

Scope and Contents:
This subseries includes photographs taken at entertainment events, Sidney's "official" birthday celebrations, motion picture premiers, tributes, and various entertainment-related functions. This series includes photographs associated with Sidney's involvement in the Directors Guild of America. Prior to his death Sidney gave many of the negatives and prints related to the DGA to the DGA for their own archives. This series includes all identifiable studio social functions. The photographs are arranged by title and then sequentially according to Sidney's film roll numbers.
Collection Restrictions:
Collection is open for research but is stored off-site. Researchers must handle unprotected photographs with cotton gloves. Researchers may use reference copies of audio-visual materials. When no reference copy exists, the Archives Center staff will produce reference copies on an "as needed" basis and as resources allow.

Viewing film portions of the collection requires special appointment, please inquire; listening to LP recordings is only possible by special arrangement.

Special arrangements required to view materials in cold storage. Using cold room materials requires a three hour waiting period.

Scope and Contents:
This subseries includes photographs of family, friends, holiday celebrations, and acquaintances entertained at the Sidney home. This series includes personal birthday and holiday photographs. There are numerous photographs of George Sidney's maternal aunt, Agnes Mooney Dobson, known as "Fuddie", and her son Ned Dobson, including his wife Jean and their children. This series includes the many photographs Sidney took documenting his art collection. It includes formal family and individual portraits by Strauss-Payton of Kansas City, Missouri, MGM studio photographer, Clarence Sinclair Bull, Gaby of Montreal, Canada and others. Many photographs in this series were taken at the Sidney home, 1140 Tower Road in Beverly Hills and later at 910 Rexford Drive. There are photographs of Iranian protests in Los Angeles from 1978, the 1979 Rose Parade, Elaine Goldsmith's sculpture, and the Sidney family dogs. There are photographs of art objects, silver, painting, and damage to the house at 1140 Tower Road taken at the time of the Sidney's divorce. There are photographs documenting paintings associated with Edward G. Robinson and his wife Jane Robinson. A number of contact sheets have photographic tests on them as well as personal photographs. The photographs are arranged sequentially according to Sidney's film roll numbers.
Collection Restrictions:
Collection is open for research but is stored off-site. Researchers must handle unprotected photographs with cotton gloves. Researchers may use reference copies of audio-visual materials. When no reference copy exists, the Archives Center staff will produce reference copies on an "as needed" basis and as resources allow.

Viewing film portions of the collection requires special appointment, please inquire; listening to LP recordings is only possible by special arrangement.

Special arrangements required to view materials in cold storage. Using cold room materials requires a three hour waiting period.

Scope and Contents:
This scrapbook includes articles, newspaper clippings, letters and photographs from various events and marches Grace participated in regarding the fight for returning surplus lands to Native peoples. These events and materials include--Fishing Rights March (1970) in Yelm, Washington with the McCloud family; Fort Lawton "Surplus" March (1970) in Seattle, Washington; Pit River versus P.G..E. (1970) in Big Bend, California; DQU, Deganawidah Quetzalcoatl University founding (1971) in Davis, California; and documentation as National Commitee Director for the "Return Surplus Lands to Indian People".
Separated Materials:
The cover and back of the scrapbook binder are in Box 12 since they are oversized.
