Photograph depicting carriages traveling on a road on the Jicarilla Apache Reservation in Dulce, New Mexico. This photograph was probably shot by either Ralph Aspaas or his brother Hans Aspaas circa 1900-1910.

"A village on East bank of the Nile in Upper Egypt; with Luxor, Karnak is on the site of ancient Thebes." [The J.P.Getty Fund: Thesaurus of Geographic Names]. The photograph depicts horse-drawn carriages at the gate of Ptolemy III Euergetes I in front of the Temple of Khonsu. This photograph was taken when Eliot Elisofon was working on "The Nile" project and traveled to Africa from March 14, 1961 to March 31, 1961, visiting Egypt.
