Original caption reads, "CAIRO. Native Village near Pyramids." Translated text reads, "CAIRO. Native Village near Pyramids." Translated message on verso reads, "II - I am also sending you 6 cards. Do they satisfy your taste. Thank you very much for the salon cards, very refined, and the carnival ones most amusing. I shall now try to describe my life since we last wrote to each other. It seems that there are a lot of things but I shall tell you the most salient ones that I remember. I do not know whether I told you about my trip to the holy land? But that falls already in category of old memories, one year ago! We spent a very peaceful summer in Cairo. I was very lonely my dear teacher Guérin who loves me as a dear friend was in France. So was Mrs. Rieder who arranges all the little fêtes in which we participate. My classmates too were away and I had only my four cousins as companions. But we are perfectly wel,l and we spent the entire warm season going for walks in the surroundings. Then going to the movies in Heliopolies (a nice new small town near Cairo). It is far and we would ride the metro which adds to the fun. Towards the end of the season I spent 10 days in Alexandria with mother. When we returned one 3 little cousins were already at school (the elder one has completed his studies he is presently in civil service)" - (one stamp recto).
