This series consists of articles, clippings, bulletins, reports, a documentary film and other printed material on various research subjects that were of interest to Arthur Monroe. Research subjects include South America, Africa, Jazz, Black and African Art, Black history, social movements, travel, museums and the environment. There are also several folders on artists scattered throughout the series. Notable artists include Kara Walker, Charlie "Bird" Parker, Tom Feelings, Degas, Sargent Johnson, Alexis Peskine and others. Most of the original folder titles have been retained.
