Before and during the Civil War, his great-grandfather, William Hurley, was active in real estate in Washington, D.C. His office was located on H Street near Mary Surratt’s boarding house, meeting place of Lincoln’s assassination conspirators. Listen as Mr. Hurley talks about his ancestor’s connection to the famous house, which stands to this day.
