Summary:
Portrait of a woman with her body facing almost forward, her head turned slightly to the right, and her gaze directed off to the right. In her right hand she holds a small book at her waist. She wears a dark burgundy off-the-shoulder dress with large puffy sleeves, white lace trim along the neckline and across the bodice, and a white sash adorned with a gold and turquoise pin. Around her neck she wears a long gold chain and a short gold beaded choker. Her dark hair is parted in the middle with long ringlets framing her face, and a small gold tiara placed across the top of her head. In the background there is a dark burgundy drape pulled slightly to the left revealing a rural landscape on the right.
