Summary:
The murals in the four small domes grouped around the pillars that support the Great Dome all relate to the larger historical murals in the pendentives of the Great Dome. The theme of the four murals of the small northwest dome is the time period from "1950 to the Present." The Scientist depicts a seated male figure working on an experiment at his lab table in his laboratory. Behind him is a bookcase and all around him are large glass beakers.
