Summary:
The murals in the four small domes grouped around the pillars that support the Great Dome all relate to the larger historical murals in the pendentives of the Great Dome. The theme of the four murals of the small southwest dome is the time period from "1830-1850." The River Pilot depicts a male figure seated on a dock while behind him men unload the cargo from a ship.
