Save Outdoor Sculpture, California survey, 1995.
A white-painted abstract sculpture consisting of nineteen large block-like concrete forms spread out over a grassy area on the back of the campus. The arrangement of the blocks echoes the structural elements of Simon Rodia's "Watts Towers" in Los Angeles. Some of the blocks are connected and other others stand alone. The surfaces bear the markings of wood grain from the boards that were used to form the concrete blocks. On the north side, one block is incised with a relief of two hearts, representing Simon Rodia's wrought iron piece used on his concrete foundation.
