Summary:
The revolutionary patriot Samuel Adams stands at a table that is covered with a copy of the Massachusetts Charter granted by William and Mary. He points down to the Charter with his left hand and in his right hand he holds a scrolled document representing the "Instructions of the Town of Boston," compiled by indignant Boston citizens following the Boston Massacre of March 5, 1770.
