Summary:
A view looking toward the back of a room where a female figure dressed in a long gown lounges on a Federal style sofa. Behind the sofa there is a Japanese screen, and to the left a Chinese porcelain jar rests on a chair. On the right side of the room there is a window with the Venetian blinds closed, emitting just enough light to create a reflection across the floor.
