Born in London in 1944 to Czech parents who were Jewish refugees during World War II, Ickovic started his work in documentary and street photography in the 1960s while living in various places in Europe, and South and North America. Eventually he immigrated to New York, where he continued this work. His photographs have been widely exhibited and he has authored five books.
30 silver gelatin prints, primarily depicting American street scenes. Locations include New York City, New Orleans, Mami, Philadelphia, Boston, Providence, Vermont, and New Mexico.
