This photograph on posterboard was unveiled at the Anacostia Museum and Center for African American History and Cutlure, now Anacostia Community Museum on Thursday, February 3, 2000. As stated in the press release: "The portrait of legends of early Rhythm & Blues, also known as vocal group harmony and doo-wop, is created in recognition of the singers and songwriters who were trailblazers of music that became a part of American pop culture during the 1950s and 1960s. The photograph made by Magnum photographer Eli Reed and donated by the Atlanta Doo-Wop Association. . . "
