Lue Blalock her life in Anacostia, mostly after the death of her husband in 1940. Topics include her occupation as an operator and the difficulty of finding work as a colored person during the depression era, schools and transportation in the neighborhood, the NAACP, and community leaders such as Margaret Johnson.
