Summary:
Consists primarily of catalogs, invoices and receipts, circulars, subscription information, advertising materials and correspondence relating to publishers and booksellers. The bulk of the material dates from the second half of the 19th century and originates in the northeastern United States, with some items from Canada and Europe. A substantial amount of material comes from William J. Hamersley, a bookseller who was located in Hartford, Connecticut.
