The Hudson-Fulton Celebration in New York State in 1909 commemorated both the 300th anniversary of explorer Henry Hudson's third voyage, and the 100th anniversary (in 1907) of Robert Fulton's first practical steam navigation. The celebration took place during September and October, 1909, in New York City and on the Hudson River with parades, exhibits and re-enactments of voyages.
A photograph album of the September 28, 1909 Hudson-Fulton Celebration parade in Manhattan. The album is dated September 29, 1909, so they depict the first staging of the parade through Manhattan, rather than the later restaging of it in New York's other boroughs or in other cities. The photographs were taken at the same vantage point on the parade route. Each photograph is captioned.
