Man holding a spring scale with a block attached which is sumerged in a beaker of water. He is pointing at the scale's reading with a pencil. Two men stand next to him. On the table in front of them are some other blocks and two volumes of the "Journal of Research of the National Bureau of Standards". Ink on negative: "1 - 8 x 10 - 2 - 5 x 7 COMM". Ink on envelope: caption. "ANSCO SAFETY FILM 8" edge imprint. No Scurlock number.
