The Fair department store was located at 820 7th St. N.W. Washington, D.C.
Covered rails of clothing running on left and right walls with table displays in the center. There are men and women in the store, some holding garments. Several of the women are wearing fur coats. Two signs on the nearest table display: "Use our convenient 'Lay Away' Plan to select your holiday outfit" and "Come in and select your Thanksgiving outfit we have all the latest styles". The tags on the handing garments read, "The Fair..." Ink on tape on negative: "F". No edge imprint. Pencil retouching on windows. No Scurlock number.
