This portrait session with the actress was one of Robert Scurlock's earliest major photographic projects.
Summary:
Informal portrait in studio; variant on 618.224486. Vertical signature at right: "Scurlock / Wash. D.C." Print is flush-mounted on mount board, then affixed to 14" x 11" board (probably with tape), with hand-lettered label at bottom of mount. The print is from a series of portraits which apparently was on exhibition.
