In an August 2003 interview, George Scurlock recalled session photographing Pearl Primus as one of his favorite photographic assignments.
Full-figure action portrait in studio. Horizontal "Scurlock" signature, lower right. Print is flush-mounted on mount board, then affixed to 14" x 11" board (probably with tape), with hand-lettered label at bottom of mount. The print is from a series of portraits which apparently was on exhibition.
