Notes:
Claghorn, a wealthy Philadelphia resident, was president of the State Line and Sullivan Railroad, in addition to having interests in coal mines and properties in the city of Philadelphia. He was active in civic and social circles in Philadelphia in the late 19th century, belonging to the Sons of the Revolution, the Philadelphia Union League, among other organizations, and served on the city council.
Summary:
A scrapbook compiled by Claghorn relating to his corporate and civic activities, including mostly photographs, correspondence and clippings.
