Cooper Bessemer Corporation was the product of the 1929 merger of C.& G. Cooper and Bessemer Gas Engine Company. It produced steam, gas, and oil engines, compressors and furnaces. The company was renamed Cooper Industries and relocated to Houston, Texas in 1965.
