Three couples in formal attire; two men wear tuxedoes, while the other is in military uniform. Ink caption on verso of one: "Socialites enjoy 'Guardsmen' dance at Lincoln Colonade [sic] in 40s." The other has a Scurlock Studio copyright blind stamp in gold on recto, lower right, with ink caption on verso: "Guests at popular 'Guardsmen' dance at Wash Lincoln Colonade [sic] in 40's."
