Original nitrate negative was digitized and transferred to off-site storage at the Library of Congress.
From the style of costume and wig, it appears that the subject of the portrait lived in the 18th century. It is possible that he was Daniel Dulany the Younger (1722-1797) since a companion image (VA159049) appears to be of his wife, Rebecca Tasker Dulany.
