Letters patents for inventions in the piano industry; a 1936 license agreement with the Pratt-Read Company; and a series of agreements between Harry Sohmer and his cousin Frank regarding salaries for 1932-1934. Perhaps the most colorful event in Sohmer's history was the complaint filed by Hugo Sohmer and Josef Kuder against the Sebastian Sommer Piano Company in 1894. The series also includes records of the litigation Kahn vs. Sohmer; correspondence between the Sohmer Co. and the lawyers Briesen & Schrenk, 1930-1936; and a copy of Hugo Sohmer's will of 1911.
